This specially treated wood is what makes these weapons strong enough to be used by professional swordsmen and women worldwide. Each oak sword can take the contact for sparring and reenactments, even when used edge-to-edge (unless otherwise noted). These swords are designed to be historically accurate in size, weight and dimension to Medieval & Renaissance weapons, commonly used from the 12th through 15th centuries.

     We are pleased to introduce the Black Synthetic Bokken, a safe and practical alternative to wooden swords that are used in various martial arts. The pieces are made using a very special synthetic material that virtually eliminates the problems and safety dangers that occur with wooden pieces. This synthetic material is shock resistant, and will not crack or splinter. For all common training contact it will hold its form. Only with heavy contact will it slightly dent or bend. Swords made from this material have been used against wooden weapons with great success.
